J. S. Bach BWV 244 – „Matthäus Passion“   –  Gaechinger Cantorey – Johann Sebastian Bach bringt junge Menschen zum Tanzen!

„Bach bewegt! Tanz!“ mit der Gaechinger Cantorey, Leitung: Hans-Christoph Rademann.

Auf der Bühne: 100 Schülerinnen und Schüler, Solisten und die Gaechinger Cantorey.

Ein Jahr lang erarbeiten über 100 Stuttgarter Schülerinnen und Schüler sowie ihre Lehrkräfte eine Choreographie, bevor sie mit der Gaechinger Cantorey und den Solisten auf der Bühne stehen und den Werken eine szenische Dimension hinzufügen. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler bilden dabei den Querschnitt der Gesellschaft ab: Sie besuchen unterschiedliche Schulen, haben verschiedene kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Hintergründe. Teil der Gruppe sind auch Jugendliche mit geistigen Beeinträchtigungen.

Berührende Tanzproduktion auf musikalisch höchstem Niveau
Nach Johann Sebastian Bachs „Weihnachtsoratorium“ (2013/14) und Orchesterwerken von Bach und Vivaldi (2015/16) haben sich das „Bach bewegt!“-Ensemble und Hans-Christoph Rademann mit der Gaechinger Cantorey im Luther-Jahr 2017 Bachs Matthäus-Passion angenommen, dem zentralen Werk der protestantischen Kirchenmusik. Entstanden ist eine – nicht zuletzt durch die beteiligten Stuttgarter Schüler – berührende Tanzproduktion auf musikalisch höchstem Niveau.

Johann Sebastian Bach makes young people dance!
„Bach moves! Dance! „With the Gaechinger Cantorey, conductor: Hans-Christoph Rademann.

On stage: 100 students, soloists and the Gaechinger Cantorey.

For more than a year, over 100 Stuttgart pupils and their teachers will work on a choreography before they will be on stage with the Gaechinger Cantorey and the soloists, adding a scenic dimension to the works. The pupils illustrate the cross-section of society: they visit different schools and have different cultural and social backgrounds. Part of the group are also adolescents with mental disabilities.

Touching dance production at the highest musical level
After Johann Sebastian Bach’s „Christmas Oratorio“ (2013/14) and orchestral works by Bach and Vivaldi (2015/16), the „Bach bewegt!“ Ensemble and Hans-Christoph Rademann with Gaechinger Cantorey in the Luther Year of 2017 Bach’s Matthäus- Passion accepted, the central work of Protestant church music. The result is a – not least by the participating Stuttgart students – touching dance production at the highest musical level.
